IS THIS YOU?

After all the months or years in recovery...

YOU'RE STILL ACTING OUT YOUR ADDICTION

It should be well behind you, but it’s not. You feel you should have stopped by now. And because of that, you feel extremely discouraged. You’ve tried everything you can try, but you don’t know what to do. You’re losing hope that you’ll ever kick your addiction. You want to find a way to finally stop.

Or…

YOUR PROGRESS FEELS STUCK

You’ve been committed and you’ve grown in many ways. But now your recovery feels stagnant. The excitement of progress has worn off and you don’t know your next steps. You long to feel the fresh air of genuine progress. You long to continue your healing but you don’t know how.

Or…

YOUR ABILITY TO DEAL WITH STRESS, ANXIETY, AND TRIGGERS IS NOT IMPROVING

The same things keep getting under your skin. The same triggers, the same stresses, and the same anxieties keep you acting out, either emotionally or addictively. Perhaps you’ve improved some, but after years of recovery, you wonder if you should have progressed further by now. You long for deeper emotional stability. You want more peace, calm, joy, especially under difficult circumstances.

Or…

IT'S HARD TO RECOVER AFTER RELAPSE

It takes you days or even weeks to regain your emotional balance. The guilt, shame, self-blame, and self-criticism not only weigh heavy on you, but all those emotions conspire to make your abstinence goals even more difficult. If you could learn to handle relapse better, you’d not only bounce back more quickly, you’d be less likely to act out in the first place.

Or…

YOUR SPIRITUAL CONNECTION FEELS WEAK OR NOT AVAILABLE

You constantly hear that spiritual connection is important for recovery. You’re open to developing such a connection and you’ve tried, but it’s just not working for you. You sometimes wonder if you’re just “making it up in your head.” Or you maybe you feel you’re too skeptical or intellectual. You want such a connection but it needs to feel authentic to who you are and how you think.

Or…

YOUR RECOVERY PROGRAM DOESN'T FIT YOU

Leaders, counselors, or sponsors ask you to do things that don’t feel right to you. Maybe it’s a step you’re not ready for, maybe it’s a personal exercise you’re not comfortable with, or maybe you’re being asked to believe things you don’t find believable. You follow along because you don’t have good alternatives. What if you could find a path that felt right to you?

Maybe you see yourself in several of these situations...

If so, that’s pretty normal. My work and the skills I teach are well-suited to address the above situations. I invite you to read on and find out a bit more about what type of people do well with my method…. to helping them make their recovery deeper, more effective, and more joyful.

MY APPROACH WORKS WELL IF YOU'RE:

  • Committed to your recovery, even if you experience regular relapse
  • Wanting to growth personally, at all levels of your life (physically, psychologically, spiritually, and more).
  • Willing to commit to long term healing, because your addiction didn’t start overnight and won’t end overnight.

WE'LL PROBABLY DO EVEN BETTER WORKING TOGETHER IF YOU:

  • Are open to learning to connect to your own inner healing intelligence and expanding the insights you gain into your daily life.
  • Want to build or deepen your spiritual connection.
  • Are open to trying new ideas or practices for self-healing.
  • Would like to join a like-minded community of peers who want to support each other’s healing.

WE'RE PROBABLY NOT A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

  • Want a magic pill or any other quick fix to end your addiction. Addiction runs deep. Even if such a pill existed, there’s still much healing work to do.
  • Don’t want to do any work. A reasonable amount of work to do, if you have a serious addiction, is about three to five hours per week.
  • Are too busy. Recovery requires prioritizing. A job and family are fine, but you’ll need to make time for your healing.
  • Are too religiously conservative. Deep recovery requires examining deeply held beliefs. Some beliefs will stay and some will go. If correct dogma or theology is more important to you than your recovery or your life, then I may not be someone you’ll want to work with.
